We had breakfast
Lleva Te Cafe (c
afe without alcohol in Europe!). The friendly service, the fresh Muffin and Tostada con Mantequilla was a good start to the day.

| The city wall and gates takes you back a millinneum. |

| These tourist posts are all over the city with audio guide numbers. We didn't check it out, but you should (is it an Android app?). | | | | | |

Dar al Horra
Palacio de Dar al-Horra was the residence of the last Queen, Aixa, mother of Boabdil. After surrendering Granada, they were leaving the city, and Boabdil stopped to take one last look at Alhambra. Aixa whipped him, "Don't whine like a girl about something you couldn't defend as a man".

| This is basically a small version of the Nasrid palace. |
 |
| The exhibition display was very informative. |
The palace is small and there's not a lot to see. But the exhibition is good and it wasn't crowded.
 |
| Yet another church that was ... |
We had lunch at
Puerta de Syria. Excellent food, cheap, great service.

| Alhambra from the other side. I think this is where the common people entered the court. The audio guide yesterday said that the gate was destroyed later. |
Zafra sounds like an Arabic name, but Hernando de Zafra was actually the secretary of the reconquista monarchs.
 |
| The Nasrid houses all look the same. Skip if you've seen others. |
El Banuelo is a nearby bathhouse from the 11th century.
Mezquita Mayor de Granada
This
mosque was built recently, but I would consider it historic since it's the first proper one built in the region since the reconquista.
 |
| Sorry for the tilt :). |
Right next to the mosque is Mirador (viewpoint) San Nicolas. I'll let pictures explain this place:
The garden outside the mosque also serves tea and cookies.
For dinner I went back to
As Sirat Delicatessen and had an interesting conversation.
"You came here 2 days ago?"
"Yes".
"With your wife?"
"You paid more than required".
"Yes, I liked the food".
"You didn't have to. Thank you".
"Are you hungry?"
"Yes".
And she brought a lot of rice and meat.
That was Granada. We left for Cordoba next day early morning.
